What does a Full-Time YouTuber do?

Well, that’s a tough question. It depends what content you put out on Youtube, for example, if you were to post videos about beauty and how to do makeup then you would mainly be practicing different ways you can do makeup and filming videos around that, whereas if you have a Youtube channel that is focused around your farm, you would be filming your day to day life around a farm. So there isn’t really a set guide to what a YouTuber does, and it is kind of up to you.

When you become bigger and gain more popularity and subscribers, you may put more of a routine in, and take it professionally, but for 99% of people, it is just going to be a hobby.

How much does a Youtuber make?

Once again, this really depends on how hard you work on your Youtube channel. When you first start out you may not even make £1 in your first year, as you need to be apart of the Youtube Partner Program that requires you to have 1,000 subscribers. Trying to get 1,000 subscribers at first may seem impossible, but if you keep trying and create entertaining or valuable content, it is definitely possible.

This doesn’t mean you will never make money though, Ryan Guan (who is 8 years old by the way!) has made around $26,000,000 through youtube. This is through many sources such as youtube ad revenue, sponsorship, product promotions and many more.

There really is no set price. A YouTuber with 1.4 million monthly views didn’t even get paid $20,000 for a years worth of work on youtube. Of course, this isn’t taking in any product placements or any of the other ways you tubers get paid.

How can I become a YouTuber?

By simply starting a youtube channel: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/1646861?hl=en-GB.

That’s it. Well done! You’re now a youtuber with your own youtube channel.

But becoming a full time youtuber is a lot harder than that, it’s going to take 1000s of hours of video editing and creation to be able to make a living off of youtube.
